1. NEVER use your credit card if you don’t have the money in the bank.
2. WRITE one check in advance for the money you allocate for gifts, and write a
list of what you purchase and the cost of each purchase without exceeding the budget.
3. IF you can’t afford to buy gifts, bake or hand make crafts that don’t throw you
into debt.
4. DON”T rely on anticipated bonus’s or raises when making spending decisions.
5. WHEN purchasing gifts don’t try to keep up with the Jones’s.
6. DON”T carry too much cash since cash goes quicker when it’s in your pocket.
7. BE careful of excessive telephone use, since it can create huge bills if you don’t
keep track.
8. GIVE several small gift certificates instead of one expensive gift.
